NOAP–PDSD Ramps Up OA Producer Profiling in Central Luzon
By Jemiema Arro, PDSD-NOAP

To strengthen Central Luzon’s organic agriculture landscape through accurate, accessible, and data-driven decision-making, the National Organic Agriculture Program – Project Development Support Division (NOAP–PDSD), in coordination with the Regional Organic Agriculture Program (OAP) of Region III, conducted a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) activity across the provinces of Nueva Ecija, Aurora, and Bulacan from July 24 to 27, 2025.
The activity focused on profiling Farmers’ Cooperatives/Associations (FCAs) and their members. It aims to gather updated and accessible baseline information on organic agriculture producers in the region. A total of five (5) FCAs participated in the profiling activity, namely:
- SOMNE (Samahan ng mga Organikong Magsasaka ng Nueva Ecija)
- Full of Grace Organic Producers
- Samahan ng mga Makakalikasang Magsasaka ng Aurora
- San Luis Dairy Farmers Association
- Bulacan District 3 Organic Farmers Association (BD3OFA)
This initiative forms part of the Program’s continuing efforts to monitor the progress and impact of the Organic Agriculture Livelihood Project (OALP) among its supported organic farmer groups. Notably, the activity revealed several positive outcomes, including income generation from OALP interventions, an increase in organically cultivated areas, and a growing number of organic agriculture adopters in the region.
It was also highlighted that the majority of participating FCAs are already certified under the Participatory Guarantee System (PGS) and are currently undergoing accreditation with the Organic Certification Program (OCP).
The activity was attended by Regional Focal Person Ms. Marie Joy M. Daguro; Regional Organic Agriculture staff member Mr. Mark Joseph A. Esteban; PDSD Assistant Division Chief Mr. Ian Panaga; the PDSD Monitoring and Evaluation Team; Provincial Agricultural Program Coordinating Officers (APCOs) from the 1st and 2nd Districts of Nueva Ecija; Ms. Analou Morelos; and representatives from the Provincial Local Government Units (PLGUs), namely Ms. Evelyn Santos, Mr. Lindy Cadiente, and Ms. Jocelyn Ceron.
With these developments, Central Luzon continues to demonstrate its unwavering commitment to advancing organic agriculture through data-driven strategies and strengthened support for local farmers. #OKsaOA
